ADDMISSION PROSESS :-
University has planned to adopt three methods for admitting students to various courses offered by it, namely :
i) Merit Based Admission procedure for humanities and various traditional and vocational courses.
ii) Entrance Examination to be conducted for admitting students to technical courses of other courses requiring basic & quality knowledge, so that they can run with the requisites of the offered courses.
iii) Sponsered candidates will also be admitted on presenting sponsoring letter by any reputed company though there will be only 4% seats reserved for them.
Reservation of Seats :-
For SC/ST candidates : 22%,Other Backward Classes (OBC) 20% and 3% for Physically handicapped. Relaxation of 5%marks in minimum eligibility is allowed to SC/ST and OBC candidates.
SC/ST and OBC candidates will be required to produce in original, a caste certificate issued by competent authority at the time of councelling, failing which they will not be considered for admission under that category. The list of competent authorities is given
below.
SC/ST candidates; Should submit certificates issued by District Magistrate/Additional District Magistrate/Collector/Deputy Commissionor/Deputy Collector/Ist Class Stipendiary Magistrate/ City Magistrate/Sub Divisional Magistrate/ Taluka Magistrate/ Executive Magistrate/Extra Assistant Commisionor/Revenue Magistrate not below the rank of Tehsildar of the area where the Candidates and/or his/her family normally resides/Administrator/ Secretary to Administrator/Development Officer (Lakshadweep Island).
(Certificate issued by any other authority will be rejected)
